My family is traveling to Zions at the end of the month. We have time for one hike. We have two children, ages 5 and 6 and will have my parents and my sister in law with her almost two year old. Any suggestions? Last time my husband and I were there was about 10 years ago, and we hiked back through part of the narrows. Have you been to the Tuacahn performaces in Ivins(outside of St George)? It's a very worthwhile trip.

The narrows hike is great, but no good when you have kids as you know. The best bet with the 2 year old is to try to carry them in a sling or carrier if you can. I'd recommend the walk we did which was from Zion Lodge to Emerald Pools level 1, then onto the Grotto. You could get a buggy upto Emerald Pools, but no further than level 1 without lifting it a bit. You would need to keep a close eye on the kids, as there are steep drops, but there is a big walking ledge so its all quite safe as long as you are careful. Havent been to the theatre, maybe next time when the kids are a bit bigger, looks interesting though. Take care and enjoy your trip - Im envious!
