Arriving in Zagreb

I finally arrived in Zagreb after a very long trip from Sydney via Singapore with Qantas then Air France onto Paris, it was a lovely trip! and the fruit and food were excellent, I really recommend Air France. I then flew with Croati Airlines to Zagreb where Val & Ana were waiting for me at the airport.

The buggers were hiding when I came out of the arrivals and it was a wonderful surprise to see them both and finally meet Ana! She is so lovely & cute!.

We drove back to Val & Anas apartment in the suburb of Tresnjevka (Cherry Orchard) in Zagreb, unpacked, had a cigarette and a coffee, rested awhile and then we were off to meet Anas Parents (Dubravka & Josko) in a little village about 20kms out of Zagreb called Novaki (Sveta Nedelja)

They were excited to meet me and I was very excited to meet them. They are lovley people, very normal and easygoing, I felt very relaxed with them and they made me feel very welcome in their home.

It was a very long day and I didnt feel very well at all in the evening. I had been awake for a very long time and the exhaustion was finally catching up to me. I was very dizzy and sick and eventually we got back to Val & Anas place and I went straight to bed.

My first day in Zagreb over, wonderful, exciting and looking forward to the weeks to come.
