We didnt get to Zadar until pretty late in the night. Fortunately we met a family from Italy who spoke English and we pretty much followed them to get us into the center of town. It was pretty funny, the 11 year old boy in the family totally took charge of everything. Nick and I counted on him to figure out which bus we needed to get on, how much things cost and where the tourist center was. He was more competent than the two of us put together. Anyways we finally got to our hostel. Location was great, walking distance to everything but it was a creepy place. (safe, Mom, but creepy). It felt like an old hospital or something. The strangest thing is that it has been our most expensive accomodations so far.
We decided to spend two nights in Zadar since we got there so late the first night. Its a really cool city totally enclosed by city walls. We did the tourisaty thing and saw the sea organs (these steps that make music with the waves) I took a short video, really neat. At night we met up with this guy from hospitality club who showed us around the city and took us to the festival of the full moon. We got to see some traditional Croatian dancing and singing and then we went to some of the bars in town. Overall a really good time here. Definatly worth visiting.
