We organised some accomodation for a week and were hoping to meet up with a person regarding a house. When we got to Leeds we rang him and he had already let out the house without telling us - nice. This was the beginning of the massive headache that would be trying to find accomodation. We ended finding a room in a shared home for pretty cheap. We had a choice out of 2 homes and we stupidly chose the dud of the 2. After a phonecall we changed to the other one. It isnt great, nor friendly, nor clean, nor pleasant smelling but somehow we have turned it into a functional home. We were lucky that a lovely lady offered us a free couch and helped organise to transfer it to our house. We live with a whole range of strange individuals. Among them are 'the slug' and a man named shadows. They all seem nice so far but have little regard for the sleeping patterns of 90% of the human race. Apart from this we are loving becoming a part of the York community and David has started working in Leeds (what an eye opener!). He will hopefully have some work in York after the mid term break and Meagan should have some work then too. York is pretty exciting - the local paper had a man that had been shot by police for threatening to blow up the bridge with a bomb and a picture of Prince William at a nightclub in York - all on the front page! Meagan has found a great hot chocolate place (surprised?) and we are looking forward to the future events in York.
