Storms, Mountains and Luxury

Friday comes and we arrive in the stunning Drakensburg mountains. As we arrive there is low cloud that means we don't see the full extent of the scenery until Sunday. The hostel is perfect and serves delicious meals. The following day we head for the Crystal Falls and the Sphinx, we walked for a few hours and then returned on account of the weather, fair weather hikers, the cloud was still low but all around us we could see fire damage from the previous weeks fires. On our return we hear all sorts of hikers stories and legends from the owners and other hikers. Then as the first bit of luxury so far we get taken to a 5 star hotel to watch England win the rugby and ended up staying for dinner with the most spectacular views of Cathedral Peak. Delicious food, stunning mountains, what more could you ask for.
