Review of The Criterion

Downtown Napier prides itself on its Deco architecture and the Criterion Backpackers is an old deco style hotel made into a backpackers. It sits in the heart of downtown over the Criterion pub which may be a hopping joint when weather permits. But we were being chased by a huge storm and it was keeping the customers away.
