Before heading to Germany, we cut through Northern Italian Alps and Austria. It was weird because we woke up sweating in Italy and by mid day we were shivering in the winds in Austria.
We weren't there for very long and we didn't even make it to a town. Our only stop was the Swarovsky Crystal Factory. By this point, Tracie and I had figured the system out. We didn't bother paying for the tour so that we could head straight to the gift shop (our motto is efficiency). Sooo many sparkly shiny things... I don't think a single girl there headed out without a Swarovski bag.
Our tour bus was definitely more sparkly after that. While we were waiting for the others to finish, I took a moment to pay homage to the Von Trapp family and sang some songs about how the "hiiiillls were alive with the sound of muuusic".
