A day of being a real tourist!

we started by visiting the washington monument which is a huge tall statue with alot of concrete. Then we went to the world war 2 memorial which has a fountain with statues surrounding it with all the names of the states engraved. we walked up to the abraham lincoln monument, to get there we walked past the vietnam wall memorial which has all of the soldiers names engraved on a long marble wall, with statues we also walked along side the lake through the gardens. we got to the lincoln monument where there are so many stairs so i decided to race one of the guys to the top! the view from the top is amazing, looking down the lake to the washington monument. i then lead us to the white house in which i took everyone around in a big circle to get to the front of it oops! once we got there it was cool, there are so many police surrounding it and you cant actually get that close to it because it is surrounded by bars and gates. we then drove to the capital building, im not actually sure what this building is in aid of, i think were going back to go inside as their was a huge que and we were starving. we ate food in china town, but no chinease for me as the guys wanted burger king, yuk! which doesnt help when u are trying to lose the pounds!! we had a walk around, grabbed a starbucks and booked tickets for the all star washington wnba basketball game on the 15th of july, which im looking forward to, and for only $10 it made me even happier. we then visited the old school train station which is built like the titanic inside so it was very pretty. we then went to the national postal museum it wasnt my most exciting point of the day but it was something new to see and i got free postcards. then we headed home, but there is so much moe to see so i think were going back friday to the rest of the museums including the zoo which will be cool...
