This morning we did the usual morning routine and jumped back on the road towards Winnipeg. We got our own private tour of "The Forks" (where two major Manitoba Rivers meet - the Assinaboine and the Red River) which gave us lots of cool history facts. A driving tour downtown brought us by the new hockey arena for the Manitoba Moose (The MTS Centre) down Portage Street, and a lunch stop @ the Olive Garden (I've never been to one!). The food was great but the water tasted like swamp ... does it always taste like this??
After a yummy lunch we made our way to Riding Mountain National Park, played 18 holes at the beautiful Clear Lake golf course and had a late night pizza by the beach. The pizza joint was the only thing open past 9pm! We didn't think that we'd be up this far north - but the sun doesn't go down until 10:45pm - we still think it's 830 ... it's really screwing us up!!
