The title sums up what we did today.  It was a very nice day, relaxing.  We hit Wanaka, and the kids playground.  Matthew must have gone up this dinosaur slide they had (which was about 30 foot in length so a lot of running around) about 30-40 times, and no exaggeration.  He was shattered by the end of it (yippee!!!!!!!).

We then head for this show, not really sure what it was about but looked like fun.  On entering we inspected some cows, well looked at them and said "moo" to Matthew!  It was primarily a farm show and reminded me of the film Babe a bit (especially when people were guessing weight of sheeps wool).  Good if you wanted to buy a tractor or fertiliser!! They had other things there, like estate agents, horses, fairground (of sorts), etc.

We take in some art on the way back, an outside exhibition. I only record this as getting Steve into an art gallery is hard back home, so want to remind him of his total fascination with some of the pictures.

Then we have a lovely meal in Wanaka, made even more lovely by the fact both children sleep through the entire meal.  This made it the first time in daytime hours where me and Steve could hold a reasonable conversation without being too tired, having to clean/tidy up a motorhome, do washing, or just be distracted!  Was great!!!!

Lastly, we go to Puzzling World.  This place has some good stuff.  Lots of puzzles of different types in the main reception, Steve kept wandering off to do them.  We bought one wooden puzzle (where you have to get a ring off a piece of rope) which we couldnt do, and still cant do it!  Is very very frustrating, and one to put on the desk at work to annoy the colleagues (once I have worked out how to do it myself that is).  Also bought Bedlam, and can no longer get all the pieces in the box - would highly recommend it as a purchase for loved ones though (especially men).

We had a race round a 3d wooden maze outside (it has stairs hence 3d).  I teamed with Matthew and Steve with Lloyd.  Matthew didnt let go of my hand once as I think he realised it wasnt the type of place to get lost on your own!  I was obviously slowed down by Matthew(!) and Steve beat me to the 4 turrets.  I then cheated by climbing over a gate, and beat Steve to the exit!  I did confess all later though.

We decide to head for Queenstown rather than stay longer in Wanaka, nice though the town is.  The scenery on the way was absolutely stunning, passed through another gorge (steep drops again, not good), and over the bungy jumping bridge which is shown a lot on tv.
