Tauranga Bridge

From the Waimana Valley we headed down towards Gisborne via the Waioeka Gorge.

Near the start of the gorge we stopped for a short walk down to the historic Tauranga Bridge over the Waioeka River.

We arrived at the Manganuku campsite around lunch time. After setting up camp we spent the afternoon swimming and reading. It was a nice wee campsite by the river, which would have been better if it wasn’t on the main road.

The next day we took a detour up to Motu Falls as we continued on down through the gorge.
