We got into Lithuania and found with a lot of trouble our sketchy hostel (but cheap!) and Asta! She took us to what became our favorite restaurant, Gusto, an awesome pancake (crepe) place. Then, Lana, Asta, and I walked around the city. We came on a good day because it was the first year of what was going to become a street musician day. There were so many people of all ages playing all sorts of instruments or singing.
Next, we went to a nearby town, Trakai, which has a castle out on an island. We went inside, and then walked along the water, stopping to watch a swan. We went to a restaurant on the water to try some traditional Turkish food, Kibinai.
Earlier in the day, Asta told us we could go skydiving while we were there because she knew a good place because her dad is a pilot. We all got really excited and knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity.
To celebrate Cinqo de Mayo, Dianna, Lana, and I ordered margaritas. Not a good decision. They were not good! haha. Our attempt to celebrate Cinqo de Mayo failed..oh well.
For our first night in Lithuania, we went to this bar called Fashion Club. There was supposedly one of the best djs there. It was soo fun! He played a lot of fun music, and we danced nonstop. We had to force ourselves to leave so we could get sleep for our busy skydiving day!
