And so, after the best three weeks of my life, I returned a changed woman! Eyes widened and brain saturated with cultural richness; I could scarcely believe what I had experienced. My first taste of 'Travel', and certainly not the last. I returned more knowledgeable for what Vietnam had taught me, lessons such as -

1. Karioke = Massage, and Massage = Brothel, everywhere.

2. Even monks will pinch your bike.

3. Sleeping under the stars is only fun until it rains.

4. don't eat luminous butter.

5. Geckos are the traveller's friend.

6. Hammocks aren't easy to get into, but undeniably the most relaxing place in the world.

7. Everybody knows how to play 'Pigs'.

8. Tannoy music on sleeper trainsĀ is torture to the ears.

9. Cut a water bottle in half an fill it with Wine for an instant party.

10. People with motorbikes are very helpful.

11. Prepare to get ripped off.

12. Some places are too beautiful for words.

13. Its okay to not want to come home.
