The most eye catching feature of the Victoria sky line as you approach by ferry is the Empress Hotel. The public is welcome to dine, drink, or shop its many facilities even if you are not staying there. A walk through will reveal some of the the most ornate wood work anywhere. The exterior was built to impress and it does. Breakfast buffet is $30 per person and as of writing this review the Canadian dollar has risen past the U.S. dollar and get ready to have a passport after Jan. 1, 2008 to visit Canada.
