Venezia

I had a quick stop off in Venice before I caught the overnight train to Vienna.  After all the hiking the past fews days I took the easy option and jumped on a vapouretto (water bus) for a relaxing tour of the city.  I made my way to Murano, the home of Venetian glass, and managed to pick up a few souviners while there - genuine Murano glass, not cheap knock-offs from the market!  Now I just have to get them back to London in one peice...

My train for Vienna left at 8.30pm so I picked up a book and some food supplies and made myself comfy.  How great is it that you can fall asleep in Italy and wake up in Austria!  I had booked a sleeper, so once I was used to the rocking motion of the train I actually had a fairly restful night.
