When we were travelling with si, he introduced me to an author called danny wallace who i must say is hilarious. In one of his books called 'yes man' he feels he misse out on to many opportunities becuase he says no and finds excuses to get out of things to much. He simply changes his attitude and simply says yes to any questions or suggestions for a good few months and the story of what happens just by saying yes is hysterical. You read the book and it really makes you think about the opportunities that you miss by saying no to things, it is a good read and i'd recommend it to anyone. Anyway the point is it inspired us, we wanted to say yes to everything so we decided to have a yes day, we would say yes  to any questions or suggestions that came along. It could be dangerous but could be quite fun.

We got up and wandered through the street and the restaurant we eat at the night before saw us and said 'are you coming in?', it was our first question and we said 'yes'. He asked us a few questions and we ended up with quite a big meal and a few drinks but that was cool we were hungry and thirsty anyway. We walked back to our room and a guy at the reception shouted 'hey do you want a motorbike today?'. "yes" so we ended up with a motorbike and a map and went exploring round the town. The day carried on and later on we met up with stephan from holland. We ended up having a meal and then stephan dropped the first question that we wanted to say no to, 'do you want a bucket', well not really but we had to say yes so we got a bucket. 5 buckets later we were very worse for wear and every time someone asked us if we wanted another one we just said 'yes'. It was getting stupid. We walked past a pancake stall, 'pancake?'. Was that a question or a statement, so we said 'yes it is a pancake' and walked on happy that we had got around that coz we had just eaten. Next stall 'do you want a pancake?'. No we didnt but we had one anyway. The saying yes didnt really cause any good aventures just made us spend money and eat a lot and get very pissed, it seemed much better in the book, saying yes seemed to get him into loads of good situations. Oh well it was fun trying. We had had a good day got very drunk so it was all cool. We were going to leave to go to lamprabang which is a bit further north of laos then down the mekong to chang mai. we had it all planned and it was our first real plan we had all holiday, then just as the night was about to end Stephan said 'you should come with us tomorrow to paxie'. Luke asked where 'pixie land' was and they laughed and Jason said 'come on it will be fun, come with us to paxie then we are going to cambodia'. Me and luke just laughed and said 'yes'. So we are in the internet cafe now with a ticket to paxie which we have just found out is an 18 hour bus ride (absolutely brilliant) then we are off to cambodia tomorrow. This trip is so random i have no idea what will happen next.
