Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa
Well what can i say this resort is from a long line of superb hotels from the one and only Conrad Hilton and his heiress Paris Hilton. These hotels are reknown for their (with the exception of a few), five star elegance, fine dining and beautiful room design and style.
Located downtown of Whistler Village, the Hilton is close to the Ski School, Ski hire and other amenities. We were quite surprised as it was originally hard to find from the bus stop!!!!

During our stay there the spa was still under construction and a whole floor of rooms were ready for furnishing. We were given the first room to be completed 'supposedly' on 4th floor. We thought 'wOw, this will be great a whole floor to ourselves, can creat all the noise in the world', well we were sadly dissappointed as we would soon find out that the TV would be coloured pink and the wallpaper would be falling off and bathroom tiles wtill not completely sealed - although you probably wouldn't notice it as you wouldn't be staying in your room all day.
When we found out that our TV was pink, we asked for a new TV. This was installed whilst we were on the slopes. Next minute, when we turn it on it was pink in colour yet again. We began to think if this was 'normal' and decided to ask if they could give us a new TV...so they did...but yep you guessed it..it was pink also. We were beginning to have doubts on whether ANY TV would work properly....so the manager gave us a new room where the TV worked perfectly. WOW!!! It wasn't long before we moved all our things to the floor above us that we found out few other things were missing from our previous room....guess it hadn't been completed afterall.
The room we moved into was beautiful. And everything in it was just as it should of been. We were quite pleased!!!! Although we had been upset earlier on and it seemed the hotel staff probably were getting frustrated with us..they were very very good and made up for all the upsets we had encountered along the way.
On Christmas night we had dinner at the Hotel and it didn't seem like our luck was changing as we were seated and waited for half an hour before we were served. It didnt seem all that nice and dad was getting frustrated. We could understand that the staff were busy but do make sure you are heard should you not receive service within the time they say they'll be with you. Once we had said something the staff reacted very quickly and were very nice to us the rest of the night. Surprisingly!!!
On the day of our departure we sat down with the staff we had encountered and spoke of our experiences with the TV among other things...we are happy to say that we were all able to laugh it all off at the end and we had a great time here at the hotel. The Staff here are FANTASTIC!!!!!
Should you decide to stay at this hotel in Whistler, we hope you don't run into as many problems as we did...and with any luck you shouldn't but if you do one little note:
(Keep in mind: if you are upset with something let the staff know or nothing will get done about it - they'll be pleased to know that you did so future guests can enjoy quality service and so can you should you return)
