In keeping with the slogan of "See America First" which was pitched to Americans in the 1920's by the Great Northern Railroad to visit Glacier National Park, my son and I did just that.  We flew into Portland Oregon to catch the Amtrak "Empire Builder" train which stopped at the park.  We drove the Going to the Sun Road which crossed the Continental Divide.  At the Continental Divide, marked by Logan Pass, we enjoyed a short hike to the Hidden Lake Lookout.  We also hiked the Grinnell Lake/Glacier trails and the Iceberg Lake trail.  The scenery and wildlife was stunning, although we did miss seeing the Big Horn sheep and bears that the park is known for.
