We made the most of our long weekend over Easter and explored some of the English countryside. The weather was AMAZING, beautiful sunny days the whole time.
We started by driving to London, to drop off Lauryn and meet up with Miranda for lunch. Remarkably we got a car park about two spaces back from Oxford street, which was very exciting!
After lunch we drove about 3 hours north to a small place called Wilmslow to visit Lyme Park. The house used in the BBC mini series of Pride and Prejudice as Mr Darcy's house - Pemberley.
After this we drove about 1 1/2 hours south to Kenilworth with the intention of visiting Warwick Castle, but instead went to Kenilworth Castle an amazing castle, now largely in ruins. On the way home we had a quick drive through Stratford-upon-Avon to visit the birthplace of Shakespeare. But as Grace was rather tired, we didn't stop, but as it's only about an hour from home, we can go back again another time.
