There are more travel guides to Britain than there are Brits - but very few of them are actually written by Brits. I moved to Canada about 18 months ago and come back to see my family at least twice a year.
From an outsider's perspective, I've noticed Britain is:
- Ludicrously expensive
- Damp
- Terrible at customer service
- Awful with food
So here's a guide to overcoming each of those drawbacks, which no tourist-written guide will be able to tell you. I can't help you with the damp though. Or the fact that no-one heats their houses. Sorry.
