We booked UB Guesthouse through Hostelworld I think. I can´t remember exactly how much the trips cost, but we did check other agencies and they were the best value in terms of what you got for your money. The cost will also depend on the number of people in a group to a max of 6. You will struggle to do 3 long trips in 3 weeks. Mongolia is a huge country. It takes 2 days to drive to the Gobi and 2 days back. Plus you´ll need to get a group together for the trip. There are no showers and you´ll want a break of a day between trips too, you can watch their DVDs! I think the Gobi definitely and Kharkorin trip. In the summer they run trips further east which sounded brilliant actually but it was -55 when we were in Mongolia so we couldn´t go. I think their Bring Museli bars as you won´t get much breakfast at the family gers, and I hope you like mutton! Book the hostel ahead in August though, they are very busy. Their website is www.ubguest.com and you can email them.

Hi lads, I'm heading to Ulaanbaatar the end of August and I'm looking for some info on the UB hostel and their tours. Were they expensive? I'm there for just over 3 weeks and I hope to do 3 long trips with them. Can ye suggest any? I'm thinking definitely the Gobi desert but any suggestions for others would be great. Thanks a million,
