And into Brasil.  I flew from Iguazu falls to Uberlandia to save time because I had to be there for the new year.  I met up with my friend Vici and her husband William and stayed at Williams family´s house.  I love all the fresh fruit, horses pulling carts in the street, warm sunny weather, fresh bread, and super friendly people.  Williams family had a bird named Toinha who was a constant presence in the house- I think she was actually a he because she fell in love with Vici and would scream whenever she left the room.  I stayed away from Toinha because she always tried to bite me, and bite me HARD.  Plus she defecated all over the place.

For New Years, we went to a huge party that includes music, food, and fireworks, and we stayed there until late.  Most everyone wears white for New Years to have luck for the next year, I did not like the white shirt I bought, so wore orange.

William showed me his stallion, a beautiful quarter horse stallion who is of famous Doc breeding.  He let him out of the stall and he ran and bucked around the pasture for a half hour.  Then William put a saddle on him and he was the perfectly trained horse, you would never dream he was a stallion by the way he acted. 

I tried to get myself sick of pineapple but I failed that mission.  I ate like 2 pineapples a day.
