We drove to Purnululu via Warnum (formerly Turkey Creek) and stopped to visit the Aboriginal artist centre. The 4WD road in to Purnululu is rough with a challenging rocky river crossing at the start. We navigated the road and river successfully (with one small incident to be revealed later) and spent the next 2 days bush walking. It was very hot during the day (mid 30 C) so we had early starts and vegged-out from about 2 pm onwards. The nights were cool (down to single digits C). The scenery is amazing with tiger striped domes and palm clad chasms and gorges.
