God its hard keeping a blog. I´m gona rush this. But it will never justify the beauty and awe of the things I have done.
I dived in Cenotes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki /Cenote Cenotes were created thousands and maybe millions of years ago. There are different theories but I´ll tell you one.
In the yucatan peninsula of Mexico, meteorite crashes created craters and formed pools of water. These craters later formed cracks where water seeped into and eroded the limestone underneath, this caused the formation of caves and stalagmites and stalactites underneath the ground. All the fresh water after many years seeped and formed underground water pools.
Another theory is in the ice age, Ice caps kept the land underneath dry and erosion of limestone underneath formed these cenotes, as the world warmed , ice caps melted and gave way to these giant caves!

Dos Ojos which means ´2 eyes´is a beautiful dive where the water was so clear that i forgot i was underwater!! its completely pitched dark in there and all we had was torchlights in the under ground caves! As we left the entrance of the cave , I turned around to look back and god it was so beautiful from underwater to see rays of light fall through the water and as u look up into the surface was the reflection of wahat was underwater.
What was really cool was when I swam into a Halocline. This is a phenomenon when salt water meets fresh water and causes the whole entire area to blur up like a mirage or as if you ´re about to faint! Strange and amazing.....
Angelita was not a beautiful dive. It was strange and one of a kind. This one is differetn from Dos Ojos because it was not a cave. It was a giant sink hole 60 metres or 180 ft deep. We had to barrage through swamps and and swarms mosquitoes to get to this dirty green lake. Was apprehensive about jumping in but I had no idea what lurked beneath! We jumped right in and had to descend as quickly as possible to have maximum bottom time.
At about 40 metres/120 ft, what I saw was the exact replica of the movie scene in Star Wars where Skywalker crashed his X wing into a swamp looking for Yoda. Dead trees and a layer of greenish fog in the foggy greenish air!!! Scary!
First was tWe went deeper and throught the fog. I saw Luis my dive master´s legs disappear into the cloud and I disappeared too... I have to admit I was really scared cos even though he was less than a metre from me, I couldn´t see him, and below the fog was darkness! Even though I was underwater, I could smell the Nitrogen sulphite layer (smelt like rotten eggs and wanted to throw up.) I could smell it through my mask!
Within 3 minutes we had to ascend otherwise we would have accumulate too much nitrogen in our blood and sustain Nitrogen Narcosis. I felt a little high..heheh it was funny ....
Rising up we went along the walls and this was where the walls look like they were the scene of Lord of the Rings where golem was climbing through into caves with his precious! Luis and I found a hole in teh wall and went through it to find fossils and bones the caveman times. Many years ago this area was not filled with water and cave men inhabitated these caves.
Tulum ruins were ruins created by the Mayans and though the architecture was nt that great, the setting was beautiful right on the coast of the carribean sea... Ill let the pictures speak for itself.
