We arrived the day before Valentines, so we had time to settle in to our new surroundings. We awoke on Valentines to find that it was a perfect climbing day, and at the cliff we ran into some of our friends. My shoulder was hurting, so I did not do as many pitches as I would have liked, but it was still nice to hang out and chat with people. We finished clmibing a little earlier than anticipated, so we had an afternoon hot tub session, follwed by a little trip into town to grab some necessities for the week. Once we finished gathering food, and whatever else we needed, we started getting ready for our hot dinner date.
Being on the road for most of the year does not allow us to go to restaurants too often due to a budget. So this was an especially nice treat. We reserved a spot a week in advance, thankgoodness. The place was packed, people coming and going, looking satisifed and pleased when they left. The atmosphere inside was a perfect setting for a romanitc Valentines Day with your loved one. Low lighting, candles on tables and friendly staff made an enjoyable experience. We sat down and looked at the menu, the real reason why everyone comes, for the delicious food! There was a special menu that evening, which made it even more elegant. I finally decided on the slamon, with raspberry dressing and raspberries. It was so delicious. Kristen, the owner/cook, had once again had shown her skills were far above average. The wine went with it perfectly, and the desert just topped everything off. We left with a smile on our face and our stomachs well satisfied.
Once we finished dinner it was back to the van, to conitnue our romantic evening. The rest of the details are not needed I am sure.....
