We arrived at the Tasmanian devil Park in Taranna at 11 am, just in time for the feeding of the devils. They are sure ferocious little animals. Good thing they are scavengers and generally not out to kill anything. Their powerful jaws snap bones like toothpicks. We were all quite fascinated with these creatures who only live in Tasmania.
The park also had a wonderful bird show, we watched parrots taking money from your hand and returning it to its rightful owner and falcons swooping down to fly through Janelles legs. Funny thing was the falcon was a little thrown by Janelles brightly coloured pants.
We patted wallabies and kangaroos and had a good taste of the Tasmanian wildlife, and Nadine learned first hand that a bite from a jackjumper (ant) really does hurt.
