This was a trip of a lifetime for me. I'd grown up reading stories about Africa (Willard Price and then Wilbur Smith as I got older) and had always wanted to go to this dark, mysterious continent.
The travel plan was to take in three real gems: climbing Mt Kilimanjaroo, Safari and then the spice island of Zanzibar.
