Sydney: A Real WOW City

Arriving in Australia was very exciting - especially because it was in Sydney a place we were told had the "Wow factor".  We didn't know exactly what that meant at the time, but now we do.  Sydney is amazing.  Everything about it is very impressive.  We only had 1 day there to start our journey before heading off to Perth, but it was a very good day!  We stayed at a hostel that was downtown and close to the ocean, within walking distance of a number of tourist attractions.  So, on arrival, we took off walking and in about 10 minutes we came to an amazing park - it was really beautiful and full of native plants, flowers, birds, and other wildlife (such as bats).  Then, just around the corner - the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge.  Amazing!  We both though it was very cool to be standing in Australia staring at these huge Australian landmarks - and this was only the beginning of our trip.  We were very excited.   Can't wait to see more...
