After spending the night on good 'ol Greyhound, we were happy to locate a hostel in the heart of downtown Sydney at 7am (even though it housed more than 500 people and still cost an arm and a leg for a dorm!)  Our timing was great as the city was  hosting the Backpacker Expo where we loaded up on free stuff and good travel information (anything free at this point is a super bonus....Oz is sooooo expensive!)  We met up with our mate, Andrew Schofield, a Canadian friend we met on Little Corn Island last year.  Good times.  Thanks for the boozing and entertainment, A-dog....hopefully we will see you in Philippines!  The Sydney Harbour, Opera House, and Botanical Gardens were beautiful and we spent a day lazing around and enjoying the sights.  Amazing architecture, both old and new, cram the city streets.....it was fascinating for us to be in such a big city again after staying in much smaller, beachy towns for the past month.  Two nights was enough though, especially since we are heading on to Bali, Indonesia!!
