Here we are. Last stop on the big trip. A stopover in Seoul, and one in Vancouver on the way home, but let's not get picky!!
We got here just in time for rush hour this morning, which was nice and exciting. Crawled along, over the Harbour bridge, and found our hostel. I tossed the bags and myself onto the sidewalk while Sean pulled away(no stopping zone). He went around the block while I got our bags into left luggage at the hostel, so we wouldn't have to drag them from where we had to drop off the van. A few wrong turns, and 15 minutes past deadline later, we found the Wicked Camper shop. Everyone's so laid back, 15 minutes late wasn't important. They're probably just glad we didn't smash it up like the van parked out front. Yikes. Caught a bus back into the city, and back to the hostel. A shower(which was overdue--surfing and beach, then driving all day yesterday. yuck!), and a nap(remember--too cold to sleep!) and we were ready to go exploring.
Made a beeline for the Opera House, which we saw from a distance while the sun set behind it. Perfect. Just as dusk fell and we thought the show was over, the bats came out. You could see them streaming out from the city--there were thousands and thousands. Such a neat sight. We're just in from seeing Mission Impossible III, at the most comfortable movie theatre I've ever been too. Comfy chairs didn't stop the jerks beside us from talking and laughing through the whole thing, but it was still a good show. Entertaining. Thought we'd catch up on some internetting before bed, and I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow!! Only 1 week 'til we're home!
