SA through Swaziland to St Lucia Needless to say Dan and I took a wrong turn(no highway signs) and headed straight into an eye of choas. -the Mozambique border crossing. 'medicash' was being waved in our faces by disparing folks eager to get a strong hold on some type of stability or work their racket.

Swaziland beatiful mountain scenery and peaceful people of the Arts - Glass blowers, stone carvers and beautiful craft abound the marketplace and the highway merchants.

Heading to the Sea. Settling on the northeast coast of SA. Quite good for my view of conflict in both land and sea. I am nestled in the coastal town St Lucia on the Indian ocean. Crocks and hippos to my south and east side river. To the west, the tulmut currents and waves of the Indian Ocean and the Great White Shark. To the North the natural reserve where evolution is being hammered out every minute - just like the social situation here in some parts. Wart hogs and hippos have the run of the town b/c the is no fence to the reserve. And next month the Leatherback Turtles mothers struggle to come ashore and lay their eggs. Above the tide line, collectively they hope three out of a thousand live through the first 2 months of life.

Heading south the garden region tommorrow.
