20.45 - What a day! I was up at about 07.00 again this morning. I's becoming a regular thing! At 10.00 we set off on the tour that i had booked yesterday. First we drove east along the southern coast stopping to see turtles, blowholes, old lava flows and spectacular scenery. Our guide was really informative and friendly, the weather was hot again although there were plenty of rain showers as we continued north up the coast. The mountains were steep sided and coated in dense green vegetation, some of the valleys were used in Jurassic Park. We also stopped at a submarine pen where a lot of the deep sea research dives set out from. We saw the submarines up close and the man there explained the research they were doing. After here we headed on to Sunset Beach where a lot of the surfers hang out because of the size of the waves there. They were massive and surfers were impressive. We ate fresh pineapple whilst we watched the sun set which was beautiful, hence the name! I talked to the other guys a bit i am too shy so not a lot was said. I will try harder to make some friends tomorrow. We got back at 20.30 after 10 hours on the road.
