*After an early morning wake up call (Kev read the signs properly this time and realised we could be towed away at any time), we hit the road again. In to Bristol we went to get our long awaited funds out of the bank- what a relief! It was our first brekky cook up in Wikki (note to selves: toast doesn’t work so well in a fry pan without smoking out the place) as we parked along the street. We headed to a servo, gave Wikki a good drink and it was off to Wales. As there was traffic congestion, we passed through Cardiff instead of continuing along the motorway. As fate would have it, we found another little ‘laneway’ down to a place called Dyffren Springs. This was a wonderful spot. We spent at least an hour here, overlooking the lake, eating leftovers for lunch and getting some washing dry. We then headed to Swansea where we found ourselves a ripper park and spent some time on the internet for free at a youth centre. (Well I at least could get on for free- Kev’s no longer classed as a youth and didn’t he hear about it!) After again picking up some more necessities, we moved down the coast to a place called Mumbles. I’m sure on any given day it’s a beautiful place but on a long weekend it was a nightmare. Everywhere was a fortune to park as it was situated on the bays. We moved on getting crankier every mile as we found it so frustrating how there is so few places just to pull over and chill for a while (it was here we appreciated Aus for its wide open spaces). Our crabby mood didn’t last long as we headed through Carmathan and found a MASSIVE Tesco (food store over here) and this meant dinner, as we hadn’t picked up any proper food items yet. We cooked up another feed again in the car park- how funny! We then did more searching and camped up for the night a Travelodge in St Clears (probably illegally!) but once again it was free.
