Just ten days ago Denny and I came across a 2-for-1 for flights to South Africa. Since I have a high school buddy, Carlene, living in Mosselbaai, and it is VERY, VERY cold here in Jackson this winter, we looked into it and WOW! here we go! (Monday, Feb. 5th!) I am thinking that having less than two weeks to prepare has some real advantages (and a few disadvantages)! We'll be 5 weeks there...Carlene will pick us up in Cape Town and show us around that city for a few days before we head up the coastline along the Garden Route to her home in Mosselbaai. We'll use her home as a base for the next three weeks. She has a zillion recommendations for things to do, places to go, animals to see, etc. We'll fly back to Johannesburg March 6 and spend the last week in Kruger National Park, driving it like we would Yellowstone. I"ll have a digital camera with me this year so I hope to be able to download immediately and have the pictures uploaded with our journal once or twice a week. So put us on your toolbar and check in now and again. Take care, our friends! Love, Denny & Sally
