--Landed in Singapore, classic efficiency.... very good. Especially the cab
--Wanted to stay at Inn Crowd and although Liz had made online reservation, they were full, so we walked up the street to the Fragrance Hostel. Eek... don't know how anyone who went to Europe survived in a hostel... it was clean, but I definitely did not like the idea at all.... been very spoiled in SE Asia I am afraid!
--Liz didn't sleep well because girls came in quite late and left early in the morning... turned on all the lights in the morning, etc. I felt weird because we didn't meet them the night before because we were already in bed, so it was a strange feeling
--Made ourselves breakfast with the hostel's food. VERY small kitchen and had to fight our way in
--Checked in with Anand
--Went to Sim Lim Square, electronics mecca. Had a VERY fun time there, perusing all these things we didn't know what they are. Got supplies for the islands
--Then the zoo -- 8 hours of the zoo, including night safari
