Last Night at Siem Reap
I had a tough time deciding where to have dinner for our last day at Siem Reap. There were a few places I had in mind (i.e. Neary Palm, FCC Angkor, Viroth's etc) but since we decided to stick to the Old Market Area, that narrowed down my options to Amok Restaurant. It was our last chance at trying out Amok at Siem Reap so we might as well go to a restaurant with the same name.
Candle Lit Dinner
I liked the ambience of this place, every table was candle lit and set nicely. We ordered, of course Amok and two other dishes: Banana flower salad and stir fried pork with vegetables. The BF complained that the table was a bit too small but that didn't ruin our dinner.
Best Amok... NOT
My personal favourite from this restaurant was not the Amok. On the contrary, it was the banana flower salad. It was marinated just nicely and the banana flower (I couldn't find anything in the dish that resembled a flower) had a tangy bite to it. The AMOK was just.. ok. My favourite is still from Khmer Family Restaurant.
Dinner cost USD12.50.
