Comes Highly Recommended

I did my research and this place was highly recommended by Lonely Planet, Frommers and few other independent reviews from fellow travellers.  Therefore, I had a high hopes for this restaurant.

It was not BAD...

This was our first meal in Cambodia.  We were famished as it was already 2pm.  Our Tuk-Tuk driver knew the restaurant and dropped us there.  The menu was quite extensive as it seems every dish, can be prepared with a variety of meat (i.e. fish, pork, beef, chicken, etc).  I was confused for awhile as I thought Amok (hailed as the national dish of Cambodia) can only be prepared with Fish but from the menu you can have it with other meat as well.  In the end, I still stuck with Fish and we ordered the following:

  • Lemongrass Soup with Chicken
  • Amok Fish
  • Long Bean Salad with Fish* (my favourite dish)
  • Baked Pumpkin with Pork
  • Lemonade

Note: Most meals in Cambodia are provided with free flow of rice.

Overall, the food cost us USD10.50 which was considered expensive by Malaysian standards.
