To Seoul!

We had planned to see more of the historical sites at Geyongju but waking late and the 4.5 hour bus ride from Ulsan to Seoul (W21,500 pp) laid waste to that idea. Instead of snaking it's way around the hills and mountains, the South Korean expressways cut straight through them; not a sight that would be seen in NZ! Still it did mean a fast bus ride.

We had hooked up accommodation through CouchSurfing.com with Jiyoung, an American-Korean girl. Great directions and a good subway system got us to her door quickly. Since it was 6 pm and we were tired about all we were good for was some dinner and a walk about the area. Tomorrow was an early start to see the DMZ.
