Get up pretty early today to prepare for our drive to Seattle,Greg and I caught a cab to Hertz to collect our renter. The line up was ridiculous and the people behind the counter were getting shirty and the people waiting were getting shirty and Greg was instructing people to move when they tried to push in it was quite entertaining.Eventually collected the van picked up the girls and headed off to Seattle. Drove out of Vancouver and headed for the US border. At the border the queue to cross was about 2 km long and the expected wait 90 mins. We were booked for boeing at 1.30 so we rang and changed it to 3.30. Eventually we reached the passport checker and we were selected to park our car and go into customs for further ealuation. Maybe Mrs Doubtfire notified them we were on our way and instructed them root us around. After about 10 mins of nothing we get given our keys and passports back and told to get going and behave. What the? We arrived at boeing before 3 and they let us on that tour.Very interesting and about the building etc but not as exciting as we expected, our guide was Aunt May for downtown and I think she had belted a few brandies into herself because she was the only one that amused herself on the tour.Anyway had a look around headed to the hotel. The hotel guff had said a2 double beds a lounge and a dividing wall, when we entered the room 2 double beds side by side and a 1 metre by 1 metre panel to the lounge.Very squeezy. Headed up to McMeenys for tea which was really nice.We thought Aust was tough on smoking, you have to be 25 meters from the building and that puts you within 25 meters of another building so by the time you get it right you are about half a kilpmeter from the place you are having dinner. Anyway it was all ok so we headed home.We all shuffled our bed preparation around each other and slipped into bed. Lots of snoring rustling sighing but we eventually all settled in our little cocoon.Up next morning and with the shower shuffle complete we head of to Pikes market. It is huge and their 100th anniversary so we look around there. Greg found the first ever Starbucks and was very excited about it. We watched a fish monger stall for a while cause they throw peoples orders at each other to catch and package very entertaining and a crowd pleaser.Walked to a pier for lunch and cab back to hotel. Rested up and caught a shuttle to the baseball. Beautiful stadium expecting about 30000 tonight. Strict bag inspection to make sure you are bringing in no food or water. Reason, their food and water is about triple the price eg. hot dog and beer $14. didnt matter it is a great experience. Americans continue to ask us about cricket but I dont think they could play cricket because during a baseball game the team batting have a coach on base 1 and 3. Now if after all the years of playing they need someone to tell them what direction to run I dont think they would remember the rules of cricket, the pitch would be full of coaches reminding them what to do.

Left at the top of the 7th(got the lingo down pat) and back to the hotel. The game went to the bottom of the 9th and was exciting.Back at the hotel security are measuring the distance from the wall to where someone is smoking and is moving them back, centimetre perfect. Have a few drinks and head to bed to prepare for the trip to Kelowna Canada.

Up early and on the road by 9.30. Arrive at the border to reenter Canada and Mrs Doubtfire has no influence here, look at our passport ask us where we are going and send us on our way.Longer drive than expected ,we saw the trans pacific train some beautiful scenery and stopped in the middle of nowhere for cuppas.Still a couple of hours to go so we keep moving arriving in Kelowna about 6 oclock. Will send next blog immediatley as we have good connection on net.
