santorini

We arrived in Santorini safely after catching a fast boat and saying goodbye to all our mates we met in ios. Still travelling with the same four from paros and millie, we expected to continue camping but found ourselves paying the same ammount for the six of us to have our own little house in a hotel which was awesome. We all had a comfy bed our own bathroom, pool, fridge aircon and tv, not that you can understand any greek tv anyway, but it was nice not to camp for a few days. Santorini was very different to ios, there were only three beaches and the whole landscape of the island was built on top of a cliff. The last largest recorded active volcano is also situated ten minutes away from the island, which is very cool, i did the volcano tour by my self like a loner as nobody else wanted to go. We went swimming in hot springs which was horrible and brown, and i had the pleasure of having to rescue a japanese tourist who couldnt swim. There was nice places to go out for dinner on the island and very tasty seafood which i have missed for a while.We hired a car in santorini for 35 euro per day which was handy for our last few days so we could go watch the sunset and drive in to town to try and work out how we could get to france. it seemed impossible unless we had heaps of money to get out of greece. it en ded up cheaper to fly back in to london first and then get a bus to paris. Millie left us on the last day and so did kate, kate went to work in crete at a bar and millie went to stay with her family for a few weeks. Then there were four. Dan, Holly, Jordan and I, the boys are pretty wild and like to drink, where as holly is more responsible and organises everything for us. We spent our last hour on Red beach which was really cool, instead of sand there is just small red rocks.We stocked up on vodka and hopped on to our last boat back to smelly Athens.
