I'm a little delayed in this report of Santa Fe. It seems like ages ago and it was only last Wednesday and Thursday. It really is a lovely town that can't be mucked up even by the heavy tourist traffic. We enjoyed our stay at the St Francis hotel which is on the National Register and took advantage of a beautiful room to get some needed rest. We walked around the town visiting the St Francis Basilica and some art galleries. We walked through the plaza and strolled by the jewelry artists showing their fare along the "porch." Everything is catered to the tourists: if you don't want to buy directly from the artists, you are more than welcome to spend several times more at the "galleries."
Thursday, we went to the Georgia O'Keefe museum which is Ralph's Best Pick for Santa Fe. I've been a fan for years and he is now on board. Finally, we hit the road for Flagstaff. On the way we stopped at the Painted Desert National Park and the Petrified Forest National Park. The pictures will tell you how entranced we were by these natural phenomenon.
That's all for this time. I'm a few days behind and I've got a lot to say and show from our stay in Flagstaff. See you soon.

We are looking forward to your visit here in Elk Grove! -How wonderful to travel and see the country. I remember doing that years ago and hope to be able to do it with my kids. Maybe when the baby is a little older and can travel more easily. -Beth
