an unplanned city break

we drove to san jose with only a small disaster on route.  We had a small rucksack stole whilst we were sat in a restaurant near punta arenas.  in th erucsack were some of alex b's clothes, our passports, driving licenses and our plane tickets,oh and alex b's PSP- most disressing.  and to topit off i got what i though was tonsilitis but turned out to be a sore throat and the aches.  so we spent the next day going to the polic (alex b) and laying in bed (me).  On the monday we went to get new passports from th eembassy  - this only took 2 hours and they couldn't have been more helpful.  then came wat we thought would be the easy job of getting our flight tickets reissued.  we went to the TACA (costa roca air) office and they sent us to the desk at the airport.  atthe airport they said they could reissue the tickets because they were issued by the airpass company and we shoud try a travelagent in town.  so we went there and they couldn't hlpus either.  so we called the flight centre in england again and they said they could reissue them for 25 squids plus the courier.  great we thought and booked ourslves on a bus to puerto veijo on the caribbean coastfor some rest and relaxation......to be continued.

in the evening we went on the ceapest date ever- cinema(borat) a mexican mealand taxis there and back for a grand total of 7 quid for the both of us.
