Do you know the way to san jose? On the boardwalk I left my heart in San Francisco bay. Californian dreamin'. Oh Santa Cruz, no its not that far.... The long and winding road..... Yep we do keep singing these songs!....
And yes we do know the way to San Jose, its a long and winding road to Santa Cruz so yes it is that far and hopefully we'll keep our hearts with us!
What have we actually done? Walked around San Francisco until our legs are about to break, visited chilly Alcatraz and took a road trip down south; taking a walk on the boardwalk at Santa Cruz. We stayed in Monterey off cannery row spotted a sea otter and seals in the bay, walked point lobos national reserve where we spotted the hummingbird, whales and sealions and drove to pretty Carmel where Clint Eastwood is major. On our return to San Fran we drove over the golden gate bridge to Muir woods to see the redwood trees. Then a day wine tasting in Napa valley and Sonoma, very good wines and lots of redtailed hawks. The week was finished off with a fusion meal of vietnamese paella and a good bottle of wine toasted by the bottom of the glass.
Americans, "Strange people, wonderful manners!" (Mrs Henderson presents) Californian coastline was beautiful and the next stop is Hawaii....
