Sishir and I are headed to India for a tripmoon - it's really our honeymoon, since we never got to take one, but it's more like a big long trip.  The movers came yesterday and packed up our house.  Currently we have the furniture (that's going to Goodwill), the food (that's going to the food bank) and our bags (that go with us to India).  Tonight it's off for one last dinner with our friends.  Tomorrow we wrap up things at the apartment and clean.  Monday we take the cat to the Pet Resort, and get on the plane.  Oh boy oh boy oh boy!!

Oh, what a wonderful trip to the beautiful country of India! I am amazed at the generosity of Sishir's parents to immediately take you to the Bay of Bengal and ancient temple site. The carvings were exquisite, I especially loved the tiny elephants under the big one. Don't worry about the weather--it's going to be hot!, or the size--every nation has its people, and some are big and some are small, what matters is the kindness in the heart and they are showing themselves giants in that respect. I nearly fainted away at the bolts of silks, so fantastically gorgeous, and the intricate saris. Can't wait to see the blouses Chitra is gifting you, the pink is perfect for your wedding! Some day, I will ask my son-in-law to journey with me to India and go to the silk shop, with a short visit to the jewelers! Thank you, Sishir, and Chitra and Sekar, for giving Kristi this gift of seeing and knowing your country. Much love, Mom

Kristi, I am glad you are having a positive experience. Credit Sishir for mush of that. This blog is wonderful. Please copy it before you take it down. Your writing talent is unequalled. Maybe you could be a travel writer. You certainly have the talent for it. They would pay for your trips just to get the writing. Bye, Uncle Clint
