The Green Flash is right on the beach by the Pacific Ocean. You can sit on the patio beside the paved bicycle path and watch the surf, the surfers, the sun bathers, the pedestrians and in-line skaters, and if you are there at dusk, superb sunsets. The restaurant is named after "the green flash," a rare occurence that can sometimes be seen as the sun sets. A brilliant green colour appears briefly above the reds and oranges of the sunset.

   The food is okay and the restaurant is popular with the locals, always a good sign. The ambience is perfect.
