Tulum was even more incredible than Chichen Itza.  It's not as big as Chichen Itza, but it's certainly more spectacular.  It's this perfectly preserved ancient village along the seaside.  It's beautiful.  I would return in a heartbeat.

Entering Tulum is interesting, because you don't just enter the site as soon as you get there.  It's almost like a hidden treasure.  In order to enter the site, you have to follow a path, and then WOW - there it is!

Another good thing about Tulum is that vendors are not allowed into the site.  If they want to sell their products, they have to be licensed and are only allowed to do so outside the site so nobody is approaching you when you are trying to simply take it all in.
