385966 1 Location 627161 <p>We had a terrible stay. There was a sock dangling from the ceiling used to cover up the smoke alarm , we noticed that as soon as we opened the door - a sight of great welcome. The room also smelled of smoke - that would explain the sock over the smoke alarm... Then we discovered that the room was dirty - the sink had not been washed out, the cups and spoons were dirty with tea/coffee stains, and there was no tea or coffee left. Having travelled a fair distance, I wanted to use the bathroom, then discovered that there was a lack of toilet roll. The loo roll holder can hold 2, but both were empty with no replacement in sight. There was also only one set of towels for a family room that can sleep 3. So as we were heading out, I asked the reception to put toilet rolls, towels in the room and replenish the tea/coffee and give us some clean cups. Only to find all of these things dumps on the floor in the corridor outside our door when we came back after dinner. Who would put fresh clean towel on the floor?? The standard was so appalling I found it hard to believe! I have stayed in other Travelodge before, but this was my worst experience ever!
