The museum focuses on Picasso's youth and early carreer as a painter. It certainly gives credence to the notion that he was a prodigious child and that his sometimes childish-looking later progressive works were not the result of a lack of ability in realism. If I remember correctly, one of the inclusions is a painting which his father had started and left and the child Pablo finished, causing his father to leave painting forever.

There was also a really interesting (temporary, I think) exhibit of Picasso's version of Velazquez's "Las Meninas"--very cool with a ton of sketches and prework showing the development of Picasso's interpretation.
