369629 5 Location 578412 <p>This is an great opulent hotel that's perfect for families but not obnoxious for those that don't have kids.&nbsp; The pools are spectacular, with toy whales to play with (see photos) and a slide.&nbsp;<br /></p><p>The hotel is less than two hours from DC, with wild herons near by. Almost all the rooms face the water.</p><p>The hotel is literally steps from the beach, which is 20 feet long and 6 feet wide. Not much swimming there due to jelly fish, but good for boat rentals (and many of the room stays come with a partial voucher for that). Also has a great panoramic view of the Choptank River. <br /></p><p>Service is great--- staff is warm and nice-- and the rooms are nice too.&nbsp; Rates are pricey but it's worth it.
