The Cu Chi tunnels - a tunnelling network of over 200km used by the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War to fight American soldiers and maintain resistence of an important rural area. We really enjoyed our half a day tour to the tunnels. You have to respect the Vietnamese. From the simplicity and effectiveness of their booby traps to the tunnels and the overall system of how everything worked.

During the tour you get brought down the tunnels. At the 3metre depth the height of the tunnel is 60cm by 50 cm width. I did the full 100m trip:o) The second depth is at 6m. Height is 50cm. Definitely the squat position for this one. That was 50m long in a one way trip with no return but we made it with no problems. Well, apart from the sweats after we came out :o) It was alot of fun!

At the end of the tour you're allowed to shoot some pretty mean artillery. We decided on a few bullets using a M-16. Check out the photos (and poses).

We topped it all off with a shot of snake juice. That's right. They had a bottle with a snake in it, with a scorpion in its mouth and another snake at the bottom :o) Tasted like a shot of alcohol - imagine whipping that out during a house party haha

We also paid a visit to a workshop were people affected (mostly disabled) by Agent Orange are employed by the Vietnamese government. The work they produce is amazing. Paintings constructed from egg shells. So intricate and time consuming to complete.
